Republicans Demand Accountability On Biden Spending – They Order Joe To Show How He Spent Our $6 Trillion

Over the course of the pandemic, the United States government has spent trillions of dollars to keep the country on track. A lot of this money went out in the form of aid, resources, and general relief.

However, many believe a lot of that taxpayer cash didn’t go where it was supposed to — they accuse the Biden administration of spending those relief funds on left-wing agenda projects.

And now, the GOP is demanding answers.

Ranking House Republicans fired off a strongly worded letter to the President this week, asking Biden to reveal the details of COVID-19 relief spending. So far, their requests have been ignored.

This comes after reports that Biden’s administration plans to ask Congress for even more funding.

But before that happens, GOP members demand to know where the first $6 trillion went. In the letter, they say the President has “failed to account for how, when and where” relief funds were distributed.

They also slam the government for misuse of hundreds of billions of dollars, which is serious cause for concern among American taxpayers.

From Fox News:

Ranking House Republicans sent a letter to President Biden on Wednesday requesting an accounting of how his administration has spent trillions in COVID-19 relief funds as the administration is reportedly planning to ask Congress for more.

House Budget Committee Republican Leader Jason Smith (MO), House Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Cathy McMorris-Rodgers (WA), and House ways & Means Committee Republican Leader Kevin Brady (TX) signed the letter.

For months, right-wing leaders and lawmakers have called out the Biden administration for spending immense amounts of cash on left-wing pet projects.

This is to be expected from a Democrat-run government, but the funds in question were supposed to go directly toward pandemic relief. And as the GOP members said in their letter:

…this Administration’s first request to Congress for COVID-19 dollars has resulted in multiple, easily predicted instances of non-COVID related spending.

What’s worse, when asked to account for these taxpayer dollars or answer questions about their use, your Administration has remained silent.

The House Republicans added that “American taxpayers deserve an honest and detailed accounting of where the $6 trillion in COVID-19 relief passed by Congress has been spent and how much remains.”

Transparency has been a hot topic over the past year. And in this case, GOP lawmakers say there is no transparency at all.

And with the administration coming back to Congress for even more money, it’s no surprise that Republicans are pushing back. Millions of American citizens aren’t pleased with the prospect of more spending, either.

And it doesn’t help that much of the spending appears to be flowing directly toward far-left agenda items, many of which don’t necessarily have anything to do with the pandemic.

If the Biden administration doesn’t provide these spending records, Congress might not be willing to shell out more taxpayer funds.

Key Takeaways:

  • House Republicans sent a letter to President Joe Biden, demanding to know the details of how his administration spent $6T in COVID relief funds.
  • The letter accuses the government of the “misuse” of hundreds of billions of dollars.
  • They accuse Biden of spending the money on liberal pet projects. And they note that he reportedly plans to ask Congress for even more cash.
