Hillary Forgets To Check Her Facts Once Again Before Grandstanding Over Gender Issue

This past Wednesday while trying to grandstand about a change happening to the U.S. Quarter coin, Hillary Clinton proved that she will take any opportunity to jump to shouting about gender-related subjects despite the fact that her claims could be very easily disproven by a simple Google search. This time, She took to championing a new report from the “newsroom reporting at the intersection of gender, politics and policy” that heralded, “Beginning in 2022, women’s faces will appear on quarters for the first time.”

As stated in a tweet, “2022 is the first year women’s faces will appear on U.S. quarters. It’s about time.”

There is only one issue with her statements: the Washington Post, a news source close to Clinton’s own heart, previously posted an article back on March 24th of 2003, Helen Keller Quarter Coins a Breakthrough.” The article reads:

Helen Keller, the activist, writer and lecturer left blind and deaf by childhood illness, graces the side of a new “Alabama” quarter — her image stamped alongside her name written in Braille — issued by the U.S. Mint last week.

It is the first coin in circulation to feature Braille. …

The coin is the 22nd state quarter the Mint has issued since it began the series in 1999. The design won out over thousands of proposals submitted to a contest sponsored by Alabama’s former governor Don Siegelman (D). The Mint issued the coin last week, offering it for sale on its Web site and formally launching the coin today. But Bailey said several more weeks of circulation likely will be needed before area residents can begin to find the coin in their pockets.

Ironically, back in May of 2013 a large event was held at Christie’s auction house in order to celebrate the 2013 Spirit of Helen Keller Gala, which was set up by Helen Keller International. At this event, Clinton took the stage to accept the Helen Keller Humanitarian Award.

Clinton linked to the news site 19th News, which wrote originally on May 20, 2021, and then updated this on Monday stating:

Beginning in 2022, women’s faces will circulate through the nation’s currency on quarters — something long overdue, according to Rep. Barbara Lee, a California Democrat who has been working on this legislation since 2017.

“I wanted to make sure that women would be honored, and their images and names be lifted up on our coins. I mean, it’s outrageous that we haven’t,” Lee said. “Hopefully the public really delves into who these women were, because these women have made such a contribution to our country in so many ways.”

Along with all of this, the goddess of liberty also sported a spot on the U.S. Quarter that was officially minted from 1916-1930 on a coin named the Standing liberty quarter.

Lee went on to add, “I think it’s important that the public understands and knows how to weigh in on this….That’s a mammoth kind of effort that we’re mounting, but we’re getting the word out. … I think it is a good organizing tool that communities should use, and have children kind of tell stories and do the research and come up with who they think would be the woman that should be submitted….It’s about time that people who exchange currency and coins understand that women deserve things. This is long past due.”
