It turns out, at least in some parts of the country, wokeism isn’t tolerated. In blue states, you can go far by pushing this modern-day version of political correctness. Hollywood, the MSM, and even major corporations have “gone woke” in order to score brownie points with the radical left.

But the fact remains: most Americans want nothing to do with this leftist ideology.

One police chief, in the state of Florida, didn’t get the memo. He was accused of discrimination against white officers who put in for promotions. Apparently, this police chief was trying to make the force more “racially diverse.” Unfortunately, that was at the expense of hard-working officers, whose only crime was being the “wrong” skin color. So, this man got his walking papers handed to him.

Last week, a Florida police chief learned that discriminating against white people is still against the law, even if he had the “wokest” of intentions.

Larry Scirotto, named the police chief of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department in August, was fired last Thursday after an investigation into complaints he allegedly discriminated against white people to make the police force more racially diverse. Scirotto was accused of racial discrimination against white applicants and existing officers eligible for promotions.

Wow. Apparently, a police chief in Fort Lauderdale was discriminating against his white officers. Larry Scirotto was fired because he rejected requests from white police officers who sought promotions. In an attempt to make his department “more diverse,” he prioritized promotions for people of color.

You might be thinking, “How did they prove this?” An investigation was conducted and the result was his firing. But was this based on simple accusations? Not quite. One time, the man looked at a wall of photos of department leadership and he literally said, “That wall is too white… I’m gonna change that.”

Yikes. You can’t pretend you’re not showing discrimination when you literally announce your intentions. For years, we’ve always heard about other forms of racial discrimination. We’ve almost been hit over the head with stories about black and other minority Americans being passed over because of their race. But this kind of discrimination happens all the time—but the media is silent.

This time, it looks like justice was done.
