A representative of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the signatories to the Budapest memorandum are to blame for the Russian invasion.
“They signed their obligation to protect Ukraine, to provide the security and safety,” said Fedir Venislavsky, President Zelenskyy’s representative to Ukraine’s Constitutional Court.
“Which means when Ukraine gave up its nuclear potential … Ukraine was confident the other countries who have signed all of those agreements were going to guarantee its territorial integrity, it’s independence and it’s sovereignty.”
“Unfortunately, we’re deeply sorry” the signatories of the Budapest Memorandum and the Charter “did not perform” and “provide the security of Ukraine” and “there is a war because of that going on in our territory,” Venislavsky explained.

A report on NBC’s “Meet The Press” said that Zelenskyy believes Biden is not serious about helping Ukraine and is “all talk.”

The American people agree, an NBC News poll found that only 28% of Americans have a “great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence in the president’s ability to handle the Russia-Ukraine crisis. Forty-four percent of Americans said that they have “very little” confidence in Biden’s ability to handle the situation.
