The Republican Party has an undeniable opportunity heading into the November 2022 midterm elections. Thanks in no small part to Joe Biden’s abysmal performance, most experts project devastating losses for Democrats.
The liberal left seemed emboldened by what they felt was a national mandate to transform America into a socialist country. With slim margins in both Houses of Congress, it clearly was not. Americans will tell Democrats what they think of their radical agenda later this year.
However, Republicans must still carefully navigate the political landscape they’ve been gifted. The wrong candidates could quickly erode what is now an enormous advantage. Top conservative donors recently met in Key Biscayne, Florida.
These influential conservatives met at the National Republican Congressional Committee’s (NRCC) Donor Retreat. They were there to formulate a strategy for prioritizing which races where they will target their funding focus.
We’re not certain these swampy Republican consultants expected such vocal voices like congressional candidate Laura Loomer. Loomer is one of a number of Republican candidates who support by President Trump.
She’s waging a campaign to unseat a four-decade career politician. Congressman Dan Webster is a poster child for congressional term limits. Webster is a token Republican whenever it fits his agenda. When it doesn’t, Webster is a turncoat.
As evidence, Webster is one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump after the suspicious January 6, 2020, chaos on Capitol Hill. Loomer questions the NRCC and Republican National Committee’s actual focus, especially if Webster is someone to unseat.
During a recent video, Loomer asked some hard questions. She used a recent presentation by the “Team McCarthy” panel. The panel, staffers for House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, listed 10 incumbents who were on a “Top 10 Target List”.
However, not one of the Republicans on the list was from the 10 turncoats who voted to impeach President Trump, including Webster. The epitome of a Republican traitor, Liz Cheney, wasn’t on the list either. Maybe everyone knows Liz is a target of every conservative?
Loomer wanted to know why NRCC and RNC focus wouldn’t be on unseating weak-kneed Republicans. Most refer to them as Republicans in Name Only, or RINOs. Loomer lambasted the NRCC and RNC for their abysmal track record of supporting strong conservative candidates.
She dug even deeper into questionable party strategy. Loomer wondered why there was no mention of the most prevalent Republican in the United States, President Trump. Even South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham called out McCarthy’s wishy-washy support.
Graham insisted, “If you want to be a Republican leader in the House or the Senate, you have to have a working relationship with President Trump.” It’s insanity not to. Loomer went even farther. She asked why there aren’t discussions about popular conservative platforms.
She asked why no one was talking about the “America First Agenda” or America First candidates such as herself. Laura Loomer and other true conservatives see a problem. Both envision important Republican operations such as the NRCC to be misguided.
There is a lot of big talk, but when the rubber meets the road, there’s little or no action. Without President Trump as the focal point of the Republican Party, victories in the November midterms will be far less assured. With President Trump at the helm, it will be a red tsunami.
November’s upcoming elections will be a referendum on Joe Biden. As Americans become increasingly angered over his destructively abysmal performance, this will bode well for conservatives. However, a lack of targeted focus could undermine these efforts.
Proud conservatives such as Laura Loomer think this focus should be on what “Made America Great Again” to begin with. It all started with President Trump. It’s time to rebuild the energy, rebuild the motivation, and “Save America”. Laura Loomer is ready to do her part, but she thinks other Republicans must be held accountable to do theirs as well.
