Trump Smacks Down Fake News Report on Iran Troop Plans

News outlets said Trump promised US troops would help Iranians overthrow their government. That was the plan. The reality is different. President Trump wrote on Truth Social to correct the record. As ABC Fake News claimed, he is not attempting to compel Iran to negotiate.

He said he could not care less if they sign a worthless agreement. He likes the current position much better. The US has almost total control of the Hormuz Strait. The Iranian economy is totally collapsing. They are just playing out the inevitable.

Trump revived speculation over regime change Tuesday night. He openly asked when Iranians would rise up and fight. But he clarified his meaning in a recent interview. He told Fox’s Peter Doocy that he asks the question sort of knowing the answer. The only answer is they’re being shot.

The President sees a clear shift in power. To Doocy, he stated that the regime weakens daily. He thinks there will come a time when they cannot fire with ease. This is a key point. He acknowledged that he grasped the hardships the resistance would encounter.

When asked if he was going to help the people rise up or send in the CIA, Trump smiled. He said, of course, he couldn’t tell him that. He understands the limits of US power. The United States and initially Israel have been doing nation-wrecking to Iran. This is not nation-building.

Ward Clark wrote for RedState on this topic. According to him, actions by the United States and (initially) Israel against Iran are unrelated to nation-building. He further remarked that Iran is severely damaged, both economically and militarily. The damage is done.

Change will not come from American air power. Air and naval power alone cannot enable the United States to topple what remains of the Iranian regime. The Iranian people themselves must bring about any enduring transformation. This is the hard truth. The US cannot do it for them.

Clark noted that any reviving of Iran will have to come from the people. The only way that can happen is for there to be p. The source text cuts off there, but the point stands. The regime is weak. The people are suffering. The US has an advantage.

Trump made his stance clear. He is not forcing a deal. He is watching the collapse. The question remains for the Iranian people. When will the Iranian populace rise and combat? The answer depends on them, not on Washington.
