Donald Trump is well aware he’s dominating Joe Biden when it comes to public popularity. Trump’s approval ratings are at 52% while Biden is at only 30%.
What’s Happening:
Joe Biden has been stumbling over the past few weeks. Recently, a new poll put his approval rating at a measly 35%. It’s not surprising that Biden has a low approval rating these days given the way he dropped out of the presidential race so close to election day. Even among Democrats, his ratings are much lower than Hillary Clinton, and she didn’t even run for president. The fact that independents also see Biden so unfavorably doesn’t bode well for 2020.
But how is Trump doing? You’d think, after leaving office over a year ago, Trump wouldn’t have much of a presence on the American consciousness. But nothing can be further from the truth. Despite ongoing attempts by Democrats to slander 45, he is enjoying rising approval.
From Rasmussen Reports:
A new national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports finds that 52% of Likely U.S. voters have a favorable impression of Trump, including 33% who have a Very Favorable view of him.
And, despite Liz Cheney’s claims, Trump is enjoying surging support among the GOP.
From The Washington Examiner:
Former President Donald Trump’s approval rating has increased since he left office a year ago, and nearly 9 in 10 Republicans now have a favorable view of him…
Among Republicans, 85% have a favorable view, with 63% declaring a “very favorable” opinion. Even 23% of Democrats and 51% of independents agree.
Joe Biden’s approval ratings are continuing to suffer, despite the best efforts of some outlets to back him up. Meanwhile, Trump is watching his numbers go up. Even with ongoing attacks by the left, with another witch hunter underway, Trump is enjoying 52% approval in a national poll.
A recent poll found that Trump’s approval rating among Republicans has reached 85%. This is an increase since he departed the White House in 2021. In fact, this is actually an improvement when compared to his approval ratings when he left in 2021. What does this tell us? It tells us that Trump does better out of office than Biden does in office!
Trump laid low for a while, after leaving D.C. in January 2021. But over the Spring & Summer, he reemerged. While blacklisted from social media, Trump released press statements, gave numerous interviews, and appeared at conventions and rallies. He has continued to connect with Americans as well as strategize with GOP leaders.
The 45th president is the first to criticize the 44th president’s failures. Trump has been proud to point out things are happening exactly as he predicted, defying the left’s claims. Clearly, Americans are paying attention. They seem to be approving of Trump, even out of office.
What does this mean for 2014? I guess we’ll find out.
Key Takeaways:
- Trump is enjoying rising approval, despite being out of office for a year.
- He has a 52% national approval, and an 85% GOP approval.
- This comes as Biden’s approval sinks lower and lower.
