Joe Biden’s failures are coming back to haunt him. As his failures continue to pile up, more Democrats are jumping ship.
When Joe Biden was installed as president Democrats thought their time had come and thought they’d take over the country. Well, the opposite has happened, Joe Biden is a failure and so are his policies leading to low morale. Those failed policies had led to a backlash all over the country and the midterms are just months away.
Seeing the writing is on the wall a record amount of Democrats are resigning and most recently Colorado Democrat Rep. Ed Perlmutter announced that he will not be running for re-election. That announcement sent shockwaves through the Democrat party because officials had just redistricted the state to keep it favorable for Democrats. Perlmutter’s district was ranked a D+6 and he’s been a member since 2007, normally he would be a shoo-in for re-election but, not this year.
“After much thought and consideration, I have decided not to run for reelection. It’s been a privilege and honor of a lifetime to serve Colorado, the state I love and have always called home,” Perlmutter wrote.

Now, there are 25 Democrats who plan to retire, and it is expected that more will step down as well.
There also appears to be some infighting going on inside the party.
“We have got a problem here,” retiring Rep. Cheri Bustos said of the general morale inside the House. “There are way too many people serving as members of Congress right now who I not only don’t look up to, I have zero respect for. And I’m saddened to have to say that.”
“Every Democratic retirement demoralizes their party further and forces Democrats to spend precious resources defending competitive seats,” said Michael McAdams, spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee. “No one wants to run as a House Democrat this cycle.”
