While the crocodile tears flow from Democrats at the Capitol there is a new shortage going on that they really don’t want to talk about. Matter of fact, it is partially the reason for all the pomp and circumstance, they need a distraction.
There aren’t enough U-Haul trucks in blue states to support the people trying to move into red states.
A new report shows that California saw a net loss of U-Haul during the great migration of 2021.
From Just The News:
California remained the top state for out-migration in 2021, but its net loss of U-Haul trucks “wasn’t as severe as 2020.” Analysts believe this is partly because U-Haul “ran out of inventory to meet customer demand for outbound equipment.”
Texas took the top spot for growth in 2021, followed closely by Florida. According to the report, “arrivals made up 50.2% of all one-way U-Haul traffic” last year in the Lone Star state. The five biggest gainers were all red states, with Tennessee, South Carolina and Arizona rounding out the top five behind the Lone Star and Sunshine states.
“We see a lot of growth coming from the East and West Coast,” said Matt Merrill, U-Haul Area district vice president of the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex and West Texas. “A lot of people moving here from California [and] New York. We also see a lot of people coming in from the Chicago markets. I think that’s a lot due to the job growth — a lot of opportunity here. The cost of living here is much lower than those areas. Texas is open for business.”
Democrats don’t want to talk about the fact that people who can are fleeing blue states as fast as they can.
According to a report from CNBC, the top outbound states for 2021 are New Jersey, Illinois, New York, Connecticut, and California.
“People apparently can’t flee fast enough” from Democrat-run states, CNBC reports, as the top five states for residents leaving are led by Democrats.
