QAnon Shaman Receives His Sentence for His Role in the January 6 Capitol Riot

Anyone thinking about attending a controversial protest in the United States would do well to consider what kind of costume they wear. The visual appearances may be used against you, if you find yourself facing criminal charges.

That’s what appears to have happened to one man that attended the January 6, Capitol Hill “Stop the Steal” protests. It can be equally damaging to hold beliefs that are contradictory to those who are prosecuting you.

Jacob Chansley traveled from his home in Arizona to Washington, D.C. On January 6, clad in his “Chewbacca”, “QAnon Shaman” costume, he was part of the wave of anger Americans who breached the Capitol. Breach is what the left uses for “walking through open doors”.

Chansley’s wardrobe was the most graphic of anyone filmed at the protest. Understandably, a headdress of bullhorns and exotic paint caused the 34-year-old man to stand out. Jacob’s image was splattered all across the liberal mainstream media.

He was depicted as everything from a radical conspiracy theorist to a treasonous scum. Chansley was nothing of the sort. The man was just one of hundreds of Americans who were angered by the fraudulent manner in which Joe Biden stole the 2020 Presidential Election.

However, Chansley was immediately targeted by the fake news media as a sort of ringleader. No one ever proved that Chansley was anything but another member of the crowd. Nevertheless, Chansley has been used as a scapegoat by liberals.

U.S. District Court Judge Royce Lamberth bemoaned, “It is the type of conduct that is so serious that I cannot justify downward departure.” For being inside the Capitol, Chansley received a three-year sentence on the plea agreement he reached with prosecutors.

Chansley, like hundreds of protestors who made a poor decision to walk through the open doors into the Capitol, is being used as an example. Poor judgment notwithstanding, the penalty of three years, not to mention the 10 months he has been detained waiting trial, is excessive.

The 34-year-old Arizona man was the primary target of Assistant U.S. Attorney Kimberly Paschall. Paschall labeled him as “the instigator”. Chansley was not. In fact, video evidence shows the exotically dressed young man being extremely friendly with law enforcement.

He was not violent, and did not commit a single violent act. This is the exact opposite of what the radical rioters did in cities across our nation. Chansley didn’t destroy anything. He didn’t try to burn down the Capitol. He just stood out in the crowd.

All he did was walk through an open door. Sure, he may have used bad judgment. However, does bad judgment, and an ominous costume, warrant 3-years behind bars? Part of Chansley’s sentencing request by the prosecution was based on a few notes he left that day.

They did little more than portray his feelings, albeit using emphatic language. The prosecution viewed these benign statements as threats. They were not. Ultimately, his costume, the six-foot spearheaded pole included, helped the prosecution label Chansley as something he was not.

Liberals are using what happened on January 6 as a leapfrog into heavier-handed government control. Jacob Chansley is their poster boy for their “insurrection” narrative. What happened on January 6, 2020, was an unfortunate disruption of our democratic process.

However, it was the abuse of that democratic process that drove these people to Washington, D.C. that day. America had witnessed a man steal his way into the White House. They were furious, and they all had a right to be.

Nevertheless, once liberals wrenched temporary control of Washington, D.C., each of these people have been turned into scapegoats. They are being used to deflect from the truth. The 2020 Presidential Election was stolen. Those who have been absorbed by these persecutions did only one thing wrong. They were at the wrong place at the wrong time.
