Nancy Pelosi Turns Heads During Biden Speech – She Does Weird Fist Clap In Response To Comments On Burn Pits

Biden’s State of the Union speech was not a stellar performance. Not that anyone was expecting it to be. Biden fumbled and flubbed his words again and again—and failed to address the many problems facing our nation. But he wasn’t the only one giving an inappropriate performance.

As you might know, the vice president and Speaker of the House sit behind the president as he gives this speech. This year, Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi were behind old Joe. At one point, Biden talked about the dangers our soldiers face abroad, specifically from breathing in smoke from “burn pits.” That’s when Pelosi did something very odd.

Um… what the heck was that? Biden was going on about the dangers our troops faced in Iraq and Afghanistan. But instead of bullets or bombs, he seemed to be referencing environmental danger from burning “wastes of war,” which he claimed released “toxic smoke” that soldiers breathed in.

Not quite sure what point he was trying to make, but some in the audience started to clap. Were they celebrating our soldiers getting sick from toxic smoke or were they applauding Biden’s nod to environmentalism? Regardless, that was a moment Pelosi stood up and made the odd gesture with her fits. She was also smiling gleefully as Biden talked about soldiers getting sick and dying.

We can’t actually explain what Pelosi was doing or why. The best we can come up with was that Pelosi wasn’t really listening to the speech. But when someone clapped, she automatically stood to clap as well—since phony politicians tend to do that during the SOTU. Perhaps she quickly realized Biden was talking about toxic smoke and soldiers, so she stopped short of clapping.

But she was stuck. She was literally standing. So, she made this odd fist gesture as if she was showing contempt for our enemies? If so, why was she smiling so awkwardly?

Again, we have no idea why Pelosi did this. But it’s another sign that she, just like Biden, is far too old and out of touch for her job. Perhaps she should have kept to her promise to retire after this term?
