The world watches as Russia brazenly invades the sovereign nation of Ukraine. So far, the world’s leaders have issued damning remarks. But no one has seemingly offered aid or fought back. The least of all has been Joe Biden, who doesn’t seem to be showing at strength to Putin. But he’s not the only Democrat fumbling the ball.

Pelosi, who is desperate to save her Speakership after November, tried to support Biden’s weak sanctions. She tried to prop up moves that will only hurt America, not Russia. But while she sputtered, she exposed her shocking lack of knowledge on this global crisis.

“Well, if you look at the map and you see Hungary, and you see how it is encircled — Russia, Belarus,” she paused dramatically, “Crimea, which they had taken over but, you know, it’s still a danger now to Ukraine.”

Uh… this is odd. You might chalk this up to just a gaffe, but it’s a pretty telling one. The whole world is watching Ukraine, right now. Especially has Russia marches over it in jackboots. Pelosi, scrambling to defend Biden’s weak sanctions, tried to show off her knowledge of the region. Yet she seemingly confused Ukraine with Hungary.

How is that even possible? Is she not paying attention? It’s possible that she wasn’t even up to speed on what was going on. Pelosi is so absorbed with her own personal ambition, she doesn’t even know what is happening around the world. She was quick to defend Biden’s bad decisions, but couldn’t even double-check that she was talking about the right country.

This doesn’t look good for anyone. The Speaker needs to lead the House in a united response to Russia’s actions. I guarantee you Putin knows exactly where these countries are. How can Congress do anything to stop him, when we have old Nance in charge?
