Joe Biden is heading to Georgia on Tuesday and is expected to speak up against Republicans, who he sees as partly responsible for the 1/6 riot. Ditching the filibuster would push Democrats closer to the 2020 election victory.
“We are doubling down, kicking it into another gear, we are going right to the belly of the beast, or ground zero, for voter suppression, voter subversion, and obstruction,” said Cedric Richmond, White House senior adviser and director of the Office of Public Engagement.
Richmond admitted that the push is all about the looming midterms.
“It’s really about the fact that there’s a vote coming up,” said Richmond. “The Senate leader has voiced his plan. We supported his plan, and we’re going to use the White House to try to galvanize the votes.”
However, Joe is about to make a fool of himself again because the Democrats don’t have the votes to dump the filibuster. In the event, the Democrats did dump the filibuster they still wouldn’t have enough votes to pass the radical House voting bill.
As we previously reported, both Senator Manchin and Sinema have said they will not vote to get rid of the filibuster and Sinema (Democrat from Arizona) has already said she will not vote for HR1.
“Senator Sinema has asked those who want to weaken or eliminate the filibuster to pass voting rights legislation which she supports if it would be good for our country to do so,” said her spokesperson John LaBombard. He told furious Democrats that the bill could “rescinded in a few years and replaced by a nationwide voter-ID law, nationwide restrictions on vote-by-mail or other voting restrictions currently passing in some states extended nationwide.”
Manchin, who killed the BBB bill isn’t on board either.
“Being open to a rules change that would create a nuclear option. It’s very, very difficult. It’s a heavy lift,” he told reporters.
“I’m talking. I’m not agreeing to any of this. … I want to talk and see all the options we have open,” Manchin added.
Get your popcorn ready, Joe’s about to go down to Georgia and make another fool of himself.
