A woman who claims she was sexually assaulted by a late sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein and British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell testified on Wednesday that when she was 14 years old, Epstein took her to see Donald Trump at his Florida golf resort, Mar-a-Lago.
The woman did not disclose any inappropriate behavior by Trump when she met him at his Mar-a-Lago resort during her testimony at Maxwell’s federal sex crimes trial.
In cross-examination by Maxwell’s lawyer Laura Menninger in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, the woman did not define what happened at that meeting.
However, the woman, who went by the alias “Jane,” testified that she had competed in the 1998 Miss Teen USA beauty pageant, which is linked to Trump.
Maxwell is accused of arranging for Jane and other minor girls to be sexually abused by Epstein, a money manager who socialized with Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and other affluent and prominent individuals for years.
Jane is the first accuser to testify in the trial, which started on Monday.
Her description of her meeting with Trump was detailed in an interview she provided to federal investigators, which Menninger inquired about on Wednesday.
“Mr. Epstein introduced you to Donald Trump, correct?” Menninger asked.
“Yes,” Jane replied.
She added that Epstein drove her to Mar-a-Lago to meet Trump n a dark green car.
While awaiting his own trial on federal child sex trafficking allegations, Epstein died in a Manhattan jail in August 2019 from what was declared a suicide by hanging.
A month before his death, Epstein was arrested.
At the time, Trump stated that he was no longer friends with Epstein and that the two had not spoken in up to 15 years.
“I’m not a fan of his,” Trump stated back then.
Despite hid denials Trump and Epstein were ‘tight.’
“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump stated back in 2002.
“He’s a lot of fun to be with,” Trump said then. “It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.”
In 1992, a Florida businessman at Trump’s request had organized a “calendar girl” competition at Mar-a-Lago.
“I arranged to have some contestants fly in,” the businessman, George Houraney, stated. “At the very first party, I said, ‘Who’s coming tonight? I have 28 girls coming.’ It was him [Trump] and Epstein.”
“I said, ‘Donald, this is supposed to be a party with V.I.P.s. You’re telling me it’s you and Epstein?’” Houraney recalled.
