The oldest sitting justice on the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) has announced he will retire. Some expected Justice Stephen Gerald Breyer to step down sooner than he did. Radical liberals were calling for his retirement a year ago.
No one is really certain why. The current makeup of the SCOTUS is divided between essentially six conservative-leaning justices and three liberal-leaning justices. Removing Justice Breyer and replacing him with the most progressive jurist would have zero effect on the court’s makeup.
Likewise, there is some type of “all hands on deck” narrative coming out of the corrupt left-wing mainstream media. Regardless of the color of the nominee’s skin, or his or her gender, this process means virtually nothing within the current political landscape.
Democrats are grasping at this like it’s the equivalent of the “next coming of”. It’s not. If the court was by some stroke of luck, split 5 to 4, and the retiring jurist was a conservative, sure, it would be a huge event. But it’s not.
This is simply Joe Biden’s chance to do what the U.S. Constitution says he must do. Appoint a justice to fill a vacancy on the Supreme Court. The current dynamics of the court make this little more than “fan fodder” for a failing administration and a starving mainstream media.
There is absolutely nothing about this constitutional duty that can change the course of Joe Biden’s presidency. It’s a blundering mess. It will continue to be such. He can’t fix the multiple crises his policies have created by making a SCOTUS nomination.
Again, nominations to the Supreme Court of the United States are not inherently meaningless. However, for political purposes, this one happens to be. The only interesting twist in this nomination is Joe Biden’s presidential campaign boasts.
The person who will sit before the United States Senate, facing confirmation as the next Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, will be a woman of color. There’s no getting around that. If by some wild element of chance, the nominee is not, you can expect the liberal left to explode.
This is not going to happen. In fact, the crooked left-wing mainstream media is already lining up the cannons of discontent based on the obvious. Democrats are itching to get a black woman in front of the U.S. Senate. But why does this matter so much to them?
Well, Democrats are forgetting a few things:

And last but certainly not least, who could forget about this one? Why, that looks like then-Senator Joe Biden blocking Clarence Thomas, who in 1991 would go on to become the second black man to sit on the Supreme Court despite the vicious, racially-charged smear campaign against Thomas led by Biden himself:

Making all of this about race is dumb not to mention insulting to people who want to see debates over a person’s qualifications rather than games played involving their gender and skin tone.
But if Democrats want to “go there” on this issue, they’re likely to regret it. Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has already signaled to Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to be prepared for a battle, and if anyone knows how to turn the tables on Democrats during these types of fights – especially when they pull out their tiresome bags of tricks, it’s Cocaine Mitch.
What could be their agenda? Again, this individual will not change the composition of the U.S. Supreme Court one iota. The court will hold a 6 to 3 conservative majority before the nomination. The court will maintain that same balance during the confirmation hearings.
Once the 50/50 split U.S. Senate confirms a new justice, guess what? There will still be a 6 to 3 conservative majority on the United States Supreme Court. So what can we make of all this fanfare and wishful hopes for senatorial conflict by the progressive Democrats?
They’re planning to use the process to paint Republicans as a racist blockade against progress. The GOP cannot fall for this trick. GOP senators cannot take the bait. Here’s a perfect strategy for the 50 GOP senators. Don’t roll over and just give in. Mind your manners.
However, point hard at any disparaging attributes of whatever black female jurist Joe Biden chooses to nominate. Do not belittle this person’s skin color. Make no mention of it. Be tactical in your approach. Do your job as a conservative lawmaker, but watch your tongue.
When speaking to the media, mention more qualified jurists who Joe Biden failed to consider because they were the wrong gender or the wrong color. Draw out the conservative base that does not kowtow to affirmative action based on some wild notion of systemic racism.
