Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stood his ground during a heated confirmation hearing. He defended the Trump administration’s release of millions of pages on Jeffrey Epstein. Democrats tried to corner him on meeting victims directly, but he held firm on the law.
The Truth About the Files
Blanche made one thing crystal clear to the senators. He stated the administration has made all relevant Epstein files available to every member of Congress Daily Wire. Blanche explained, “They have lawyers, as you know. I’m prohibited from meeting directly with them” Washington Examiner. Abhishek Kambli, a former deputy at the DOJ, confirmed this rule on social media. He stated, “The DOJ (and any other attorney) is prohibited from meeting with someone when they are represented by counsel without going through their counsel first” Washington Examiner. A Promise to Protect Victims
Despite the legal hurdles, Blanche expressed deep empathy for the survivors. He told the room, “My heart breaks for every survivor, every victim of Mr. Epstein” Washington Times. He wants to ensure the American people know this administration is more transparent than any past one Daily Wire.
Blanche insists he will do everything possible to prosecute those who harmed these victims. He stated, “I would love to prosecute anybody that did any harm to these victims” Washington Times.
