Alan Dershowitz, lawyer for Trump and Weinstein and accused sex trafficker, will depose the ex-Secret Victoria’s CEO regar

Alan Dershowitz, a defender of the most despicable people in recent history, has acquired the right to depose Victoria’s Secret CEO Leslie Wexner.

Dershowitz, a Harvard Law School professor, has been contesting Virginia Giuffre’s accusation that he and Prince Andrew had sex with young women supplied by the late Jeffrey Epstein.

Alan Dershowitz, through his legal team, is eager to depose Leslie Wexner, and ask the pointed questions that he has long contended will expose Virginia Giuffre’s lack of credibility,” said lawyer Imran Ansari, who works with Arthur Aidala.

Next month, Wexner will be questioned under oath. Dershowitz countersued Giuffre for defamation after he dubbed her a liar.

Wexner will be officially deposed for the first time in the case.

According to Ansari, Wexner will publicly uncover the “false allegations against Dershowitz” and “strengthen the defense against those salacious allegations while supporting the claims he has asserted against her.”

Wexner said in 2019 that Epstein, who had been managing his fortune for years, had duped him.

In May, an accuser filed a lawsuit against Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, saying the sex-trafficker raped and tortured her in 2008 and threatened to feed her to alligators if she notified anybody about the alleged crimes.

The woman’s lawsuit, filed under the alias Jane Doe, claims she was a 26-year-old real estate broker in Florida when Epstein and his claimed recruiter Ghislaine Maxwell repeatedly raped her in front of her small son. The claim also alleges that Epstein sold her to older men, including a local judge, and forced her to have a botched vaginal operation “in a wealthy person’s home.”

While little is known about Doe, it has been uncovered that the co-founder of the Miami-based legal company defending her has a connection with the Epstein case.

Kendall Coffey, a partner at the boutique firm Coffey Burlington—and a former U.S. attorney who resigned in 1996 over allegations that he bit a stripper in a nightclub—previously represented Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz in his battle against allegations from Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claims Epstein sent her to Dershowitz and other powerful men to be sexually abused. (Dershowitz is presently entangled in a defamation dispute with Giuffre, which he vehemently denies.) Coffey is not just Dershowitz’s attorney, but also a “close friend.”

One Coffey Burlington attorney, Andrew Marks, who represents Doe, claims there is no relationship or conflict of interest between Doe’s lawsuit and the work his company performed for Dershowitz some years ago. “Our current client’s claims do not involve Professor Dershowitz in any respect,” Marks said in email. “It would be wholly inappropriate and unfair to both our current client and Professor Dershowitz to suggest that there is any connection between the two of them.”

According to Robert Burlington, a partner and co-founder of the company, it is “not accurate” to claim that the firm has represented people on both sides of the Epstein dispute. “We represented a victim (Dershowitz) of defamation by an accuser and we now represent a victim of sexual battery against Epstein and Maxwell,” he stated in an email.

Dershowitz, for his part, claims to have no link to Doe’s complaint and claims that the 20-lawyer firm’s representation of an Epstein accuser is not a conflict of interest. Dershowitz said, “Coffey is a very ethical lawyer,” Dershowitz said. “He’s an extremely ethical lawyer who would never engage in a conflict of interest or anything close to it.”

Dershowitz next went after Miami Herald writer Julie K. Brown, whose investigative series revived public interest in Epstein’s allegations and who broke the news of the latest Jane Doe case this week.

When asked about the Doe lawsuit, Dershowitz said, “Never believe a word that Julie Brown writes without confirming it. She is not a journalist; she is a zealous one-sided advocate.”

It’s unclear how Doe came to be represented by Coffey Burlington, or if Coffey himself is engaged in her case. Phillips & Paolicelli, LLP, a New York personal injury company, is also representing her, according to her lawsuit.

Coffey is no stranger to high-profile cases; in 2016, Donald Trump’s campaign hired him to defend Corey Lewandowski in a lawsuit alleging that the former Trump campaign manager grabbed a female reporter violently during a rally. (Prosecutors eventually dropped the case.)

Doe’s mutilation accusations, as well as her claim that Epstein offered her husband a position with the FBI and told her to conceal burner phones and other equipment for him when he was under investigation in 2008, go beyond what dozens of Epstein victims have claimed. Many women, however, have come forward to claim that they were underage girls when the billionaire and his accused collaborators lured them to his homes and forced them to give him sexualized massages in exchange for money. In its headline, the Miami Herald called the fresh allegations against Epstein “sinister even by his standards.”

Coffey has been indirectly connected in the Epstein case and its cast of players since at least 2009, when he was counsel for the now-defunct Fort Lauderdale firm Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler, where longstanding victims’ lawyer Brad Edwards used to practice.

By early 2015, Coffey was assisting Dershowitz in fighting Giuffre’s accusations.

At the time, Giuffre was known as Jane Doe #3, and he had requested to join a federal lawsuit against the government over the financier’s 2008 plea agreement, which was privately negotiated with his high-powered legal team, which included Dershowitz.

Giuffre said Epstein pushed her to have sex with Dershowitz, Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom, and other notable men while she was still a juvenile. Her allegations that Epstein kept her as an adolescent “sex slave” from 1999 to 2002 made worldwide headlines.

“In addition to being a participant in the abuse of Jane Doe #3 and other minors, Deshowitz was an eye-witness to the sexual abuse of many other minors by Epstein and several of Epstein’s co-conspirators,” Edwards, the victims’ lawyer, alleged in a motion requesting permission for Giuffre to join the suit.

Edwards revealed how he spent years fighting Epstein’s friend and lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, culminating in a defamation action that was resolved in 2016.
