Abortion is only one part of the “right to life” debate. Deciding on when a fetus becomes a living creature generates heated discussions between pro-choice and pro-life groups. Pro-choice advocates will scream about “the science” until it hurts their agenda.
Pro-life advocates stand firm. When there is a heartbeat present, pro-life believes there is life. It’s a logical, understandable, and scientifically supported argument. However, there’s another side to the radical pro-choice belief.
This involves the choice of k!lling a newborn, not just abortion. In a recent piece of legislation from the Maryland state senate, that belief has festered to the surface. Maryland Senate Bill 669 will redefine the parameters involved in prosecuting someone for allowing a baby to die.
This legislation doesn’t address k!lling a fetus during pregnancy. House Bill 669 will make it virtually impossible to prosecute a woman for allowing an unwanted child to just die. Essentially, the window for committing murder will stretch all the way up to 28 days after birth.
It’s insane. It’s baffling how any rational human being could come to the conclusion that this is okay. However, Democrat Senator William Smith thinks his bill is a good idea. Smith sponsored the legislation titled, “The Pregnant Person’s Freedom Act of 2022.”
Just the idea that the word “freedom” is included in the bill’s title is an insult. Who will protect the “baby’s freedom?” What type of person would even consider making it difficult to prosecute someone for allowing an infant to just die?
This crime is more heinous than abortion. It is far worse. Basically, this radical piece of legislation makes murdering an infant legal in Maryland. Maryland House Bill 669 would also make it legal for healthcare professionals to help euthanize a baby.
This isn’t an act of compassion, it’s murder. It’s both unethical and immoral. But leave it to a radical left-wing nut job to propose this type of legislation. The bill would even prevent someone from being investigated for allowing their baby to die.
It’s unconscionable that any elected official would have the audacity to even suggest such legislation. We’d just ask William Smith, “at what age does k!lling an infant become not murder”? What would prevent the age from being pushed further and further along?
When will it become okay to k!ll your toddler because they’ve become a behavioral challenge? Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see the absurdity of this bill. It’s mindboggling to comprehend how anyone could have thought it up. But then again, Smith is a liberal.
