“I think Garland should be impeached because he’s been the most political attorney general in history, and he’s undermined the integrity of law enforcement,” Cruz said.
Woah. Ted Cruz blasted Biden’s DOJ in a recent book, outlining how “the DOJ, CIA, and FBI have been used by the left to target their enemies.” Mainly, anyone that poses a threat to Democrats, these agencies have gone after.
Now that House Republicans will be investigating these agencies, Cruz wants them to go further. He called out one of Biden’s top officials, Attorney General Merrick Garland. Accusing Garland of corruption, Cruz called for his impeachment.
Cruz said Garland, a former pick by President Obama to be a Supreme Court justice, is the “most political” AG in our history. Cruz believes Garland isn’t pursuing justice, but using the power of his agency to push a political agenda.
Former Attorney General Bill Barr said much the same thing not long ago. He revealed the “deep state” is in fact a number of top Democrats in the DOJ that are pursuing political objectives. Instead of arresting criminals, these officials are seeing how they can protect the left’s agenda in government.
Meanwhile, criminal aliens are pouring over the border, crimes are exploding in major cities, and millions of Americans feel unsafe in their own country.
But will Garland face impeachment? It all comes down to what House Republicans uncover in their investigations. If they find enough evidence that points to Garland’s corruption, they might very well issue articles of impeachment against him.
