Questions about Hunter’s truthfulness center around dealings with BHR Partners associate Jonathan Li in 2019. The U.S. House Oversight Committee revealed this week that Hunter received two wires totaling $260,000 originating from BHR Partners associates, including Li. The wires listed President Joe Biden’s Delaware home as the beneficiary address for the funds, according to Breitbart.
Hunter Biden told ABC news that he didn’t receive any such money. His comments came just months after the wire transfers were bankrolled by the Bank of China. Hunter was caught on camera emphatically stating he wasn’t involved.

C’mon, man. Not one cent? Making that statement he had to know the federal government could gain access to his bank statements and business dealings. He was already under investigation by several federal agencies at the time.
Breitbart reported that court filings in a separate case show Hunter Biden’s residence was in California when the Chinese partners sent money to an account linked to Joe Biden’s address. The outlet also reported that money wired from Beijing, China, contradicts President Joe Biden’s claim that Hunter Biden never made money from China.
The House Oversight Committee continues trying to determine exactly which Biden received what money from whom during this time frame. The committee appears to be showing a direct payment to one or more Biden family members.
The committee also revealed that BHR Partners holds investments worth billions of dollars. This fund was co-founded by Hunter Biden in a joint venture with Li and Devon Archer, another business associate.
All the comingling of funds gets tricky based on who controls the money. Was Hunter accurate when he said, “Not one cent?” According to Breitbart’s reporting in April, Kevin Morris, Hunter Biden’s lawyer and confidant, controls Hunter Biden’s stake in the big fund. Archer’s wife also controls his stake in BHR Partners.
The House has a lot more work to do in order to untangle this web of connections among the Bidens and their associates.
