Chris Wallace’s new gig at CNN was over before it really even got started.
It is being reported by multiple sources that Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to kill CNN’s new streaming service CNN+.

The new service shut down after going live for only 21 days.
The fact that the supposed best minds in broadcast journalism could put together a product and launch so absurdly expensive and thoroughly doomed as CNN+ just shows you what a lie the meritocracy is. They’re not sending their best.

According to posts from insiders, a lot of people are about to get laid off.
CNN conman Brian Stelter reposted a Tweet from ABC News reporter Brittany Shepherd who wrote, “sad day whenever any group of journalists loses their jobs.”

The service was hyped as the most significant initiative in the network’s history but instead turned out to be a huge dud. After two weeks the service only had about 10,000 users actively using it a day and saw no bump in subscriptions when they launched on Roku TV.
Hardest hit Chris Wallace who left his cushy job at Fox – dumping on conservatives as left – to help CNN, at least for now, he’s unemployed.
Before being acquired by Discovery the network threw hundreds of millions of dollars at new services boasting that it would eventually bring in over a billion in revenue.
Just give you an example of how bad of a job CNN did. There are YouTube channels that live stream chickens on a farm that are more profitable and have more daily users than CNN+.

The day before Discovery pulled the plug they trotted Wallace out to at least pretend they were objective.

It was last reported that Chris Wallace was having daily diva meltdowns because the service was such a failure. One can only imagine how he is doing right now.
