Disney Is Making Concentration Camps Great Again After Shoutout To CCP Agency

In the past, Disney has said that in the future it will be hard to continue to film in Georgia because of their laws with restrictions on abortions. However, the company just openly thanked the Chinese Communist Party agency that is tasked with administering Uighur concentration camps.

Disney has recently released the live-action remake of their movie Mulan and have received backlash for filming the movie in Xinjiang, the site of human rights abuses against Uighurs and other Muslim minorities.

The remake of Disney’s 1998 film about a young woman who disguises herself as a man to fight in the imperial army to protect her aging father has already come under fire. Actor, Kiu Yifei, who plays Mulan, said that she supports Hong Kong police violent crackdowns on pro-democracy protests.

The film was released on Friday and in the final credits, Disney offers a “special thanks” to eight government entities in Xinjiang, including the public security bureau in Turpan, a city east of Xinjiang where several re-education camps have been reported.

The film also thanked the “publicity department of CPC Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomy Region Committee”, the Chinese Communist party’s propaganda department in Xinjiang.

Activists calling for a boycott of the film are reporting that the public security bureau in Turpan – where part of the movie was filmed – oversees at least 14 internment camps in the area.
