Speaker Mike Johnson is crafting legislation to move key SAVE Act provisions through budget reconciliation, sidestepping the 60-vote threshold entirely. And Sen. John Kennedy isn’t interested in further hand-wringing.
“There comes a time when you got to stop talking and just vote,” Kennedy said. “I’m ready to vote, and I’m gonna vote yes. And I’ll stay here as long into August or September as I need to.”
