21 States Execute Legal Action Against Biden – They Just Sued To End The President’s Federal Mandate
As we emerge from the pandemic, many critics of the Biden administration’s policies are becoming even more vocal. They’re saying that lingering federal rules need to be scrapped immediately.
On the flip side, Democrat lawmakers and various health experts remain wary about the latest sub-variant, which has become dominant in the U.S. in recent weeks.
Even so, Florida and 20 other states believe there’s no scientific basis for keeping Biden’s mandates.
Now, these 21 states – led by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis – are taking legal action to end the federal mask mandate on public transportation. They’re saying it’s long past time to remove this guidance.
Gov. DeSantis cited politicians and celebrities attending mass gatherings (such as the Super Bowl) unmasked, and added that it’s “well past time to get rid of this unnecessary mandate and get back to normal life.”
The federal rule in question applies to airplanes, airports, trains, buses, and any other form of public transportation.
However, at this point, DeSantis and his colleagues say this rule serves no purpose, and is just another “power grab” by the Biden administration.

The Florida Governor added that “it’s not grounded in any science,” and that if someone is sitting on a plane and “nibbling peanuts for two and a half hours,” they don’t have a mask on, anyway.
Obviously, at least 20 other states agree with this sentiment, because they’re all jumping on board this lawsuit.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody called the mandate “unlawful” in her statement to the press:
This order is completely outside the bounds of the scope of federal power.
President Biden’s shortsighted, heavy-handed and unlawful travel policies are frustrating travelers and causing chaos on public transportation.
Court documents allege the law is too broad, and they’re asking a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida to overturn the mandate. And it’s possible that it could happen.
Airline CEOs recently petitioned the Biden administration to drop the mandates as well, saying the rule is outdated and unnecessary at this time.
On top of that, the Senate recently voted to scrap the mandate as well, so it’s likely that this rule will fall by the wayside very soon. The only question is how much longer it will remain in place.
Recent polling indicates that the majority of Americans are fed up these rules, and fewer and fewer citizens are scared of COVID-19.
The drive to return to normal is kicking into overdrive for millions. But if it’s going to happen, these lingering mandates must stop — though many believe a power-hungry administration could bring them back.
Key Takeaways:
- Florida and 20 other states have joined in on a lawsuit against the Biden administration.
- They’re demanding the mask mandate for public transportation be lifted. Gov. DeSantis says it’s no longer “grounded in any science.”
- Florida AG Ashley Moody adds that the law is “completely outside the bounds of the scope of federal power.”
