President Biden Prepares To Lift Oil Restrictions – But Not On America Or Our Neighbors, Instead On Venezuela

What’s Happening:

For a few weeks now, Biden has been claiming the gas crisis is the result of Putin. He claims that our gas prices are rising because of sanctions on Russia, due to its invasion of Ukraine. The only problem with that claim is that gas prices have been going up ever since Biden took office.

Many agree it is the result of his radical, far-left environmental agenda that is crippling U.S. energy production.

Biden has vowed to lower gas prices. Yet he refuses to encourage U.S. production. In fact, he put into place policies that killed important projects and hampered oil and gas companies. Several times, he turned to China and Saudi Arabia, begging them to drill more oil.

Now, he’s taking steps that will really outrage Americans. From Fox Business:

The Biden administration has flirted with lifting oil sanctions on once-shunned Venezuela to temper surging oil prices, yet it appears unwilling to encourage investment in domestic energy production…

Venezuela’s anemic oil industry is plagued by technical and political problems. So why would the Biden administration even consider the idea while better alternatives – ones that don’t empower authoritarian dictators – are on the table?

And even our neighbors in Canada are blasting Biden’s idiocy.

From Daily Wire:

But one Canadian energy official last week expressed frustration with the Biden administration for not just turning to its neighbor to the north, which is among the world’s top oil producers…

“It’s extremely frustrating when we see the United States administration reaching out to Saudi Arabia to ask for more oil production, to ask OPEC for more oil production, to look at Iran, to look at Venezuela when we’re right next door here in Alberta,” Savage said. “They should be looking at us as the solution to energy security, not around, not Venezuela.”

Biden refuses to lift regulations that are hampering American oil production. He also killed the Keystone XL pipeline, a project approved by President Trump. That pipeline would have safely brought oil from Canada to the United States, increasing our energy supply and keeping prices low. Canada is one of the world’s largest energy producers. Yet Biden routinely ignores them, while begging shady countries for help.

So far, Biden has asked China and Saudi Arabia to increase oil production. He is reportedly considering lifting bans on Venezuelan oil—even though experts say the corrupt and failed country cannot provide enough energy to meet demand. It’s particularly shocking that Biden is even considering buying oil from a corrupt nation run by a dictator, instead of a longtime ally like Canada.

But this goes back to the fact that Biden is an America-Last “president.” Going to Canada for help would provide cheaper and more reliable energy, helping Americans in a tough spot. Yet Biden would rather empower and enrichen our enemies, than our allies.

Can anyone explain that?

Key Takeaways:

  • Biden is reportedly seeking oil from corrupt regime Venezuela.
  • He refuses to seek more oil from Canada, one of our allies.
  • Biden has refused to encourage U.S. energy production, thanks to his many regulations.
