After Kamala Makes A Major Mistake In Ukraine – The White House Is Caught Rushing To Cover It Up
What’s Happening:
Long before she became “vice president,” Kamala Harris was making a name for herself. As one of the worst senators in our country. The Democrat couldn’t get more than 2% support from her own party during the 2020 primaries. There is a good reason why.
Whenever she opens her mouth, she proves she has a poor grasp of basic facts and figures.
The woman makes socialist AOC sound like a scholar. Things only got worse when Biden tapped her to handle the war in Ukraine. Instead of sending an actual diplomat or general, he sent Kamala. While bragging about her role in this nightmare, she made an obvious gaffe during a speech to Democrats.
She referred to Ukraine as a NATO ally—except, Ukraine is not a member of NATO. Now, the White House is scrambling to pretend like this never happened.
From PJ Media:
At the winter meeting of the Democratic National Committee in Washington on Saturday, Kamala Harris said: “The United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people in defense of the NATO alliance.” […]
So over at WhiteHouse.gov… it has her saying: “The United States stands firmly with the Ukrainian people [and] in defense of the NATO Alliance.”
Whoever posted Harris’ speech to the White House website added the word “and” to her comments. It appears to be an obvious attempt at covering up the fact she called Ukraine a part of the “NATO alliance.” That “and” suggests she was referring to two separate entities, first Ukraine and then NATO. But, when you listen to the actual speech, it doesn’t come off that way.
We know that Ukraine is not part of NATO. And the current conflict only involves Russia and Ukraine. NATO, for all intents and purposes, isn’t even affected. Sure, some NATO member countries are supporting Ukraine (including the United States). But it would be inappropriate to mention NATO while addressing this invasion.
Even by adding that “and” to the speech transcript doesn’t cover up this confusion. The line only makes sense if you concede that Kamala was calling Ukraine a NATO ally. It actually makes less sense in the “correction,” despite the White House’s best efforts.
That is oddly appropriate for this administration. They make mistakes, then scramble to cover them up. But the sloppy cover-up only makes matters worse.
Does anyone over there know what they’re doing?
Key Takeaways:
- The White House tried to correct a factual error in a recent speech by Kamala Harris.
- They added the word “and” to her line about Ukraine being a NATO ally.
- Critics slammed Harris for thinking Ukraine is a member of the alliance.
