Russia Heightens Threat By Seizing Large Nuclear Plant – War Predictions Are Unfolding, But Flynn Offers A Way Out

What’s Happening:

It seems like Biden’s much-discussed sanctions against Russia are as effective as you might expect. The nation continues its invasion of Ukraine, seemingly unhindered by Biden and the angry words of world leaders. As we expected, things are getting worse, as Putin is only emboldened by the world’s unwillingness to stop him. Reports are now coming out that his forces have captured a nuclear power plant in Ukraine.

Not only does this pose a major problem for energy—but workers at the plant fear Russia might use it as a weapon.

From Fox News:

Staff at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Enerhodar sent a message to Ukrainian media and government authorities warning that the Russian troops that took the plant are trying to lay down explosives in order to “blackmail the whole of Europe.”

“They will be trying to mine the nuclear power plant and blackmail the whole of Europe,” Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP) employees wrote in the message early Friday morning as Russian troops attacked the plant, setting it on fire.

Things appear only to be getting worse. Russia appears willing to go beyond expectations to capture Ukraine and endanger the whole of Europe. But Gen. Flynn, a figure loved and respected by millions of Americans, is offering a solution.

From The Western Journal:

There is an option that would give Putin an out. This option needs to be thoroughly analyzed and discussed…

I believe the key to unlocking this crisis is the Budapest Agreement…

The Budapest Agreement can be considered an agreement of neutrality. Obviously, if Russia adheres to the agreement, then Ukraine doesn’t need to join NATO…

Putin wants Ukraine to renounce any claim to Crimea. Ukraine should agree, with a major caveat…

Finally, Putin must emphasize that the targeting of civilians was against his orders and that he will help to rebuild some of Ukraine.

Former General Flynn laid out a plan for ending the current conflict and restoring some semblance of peace to the region. As Russia escalates tensions and brings more destruction onto itself, Flynn is providing a way out that will help everyone. His solution is to invoke the terms of the Budapest Agreement of 1994.

This agreement stated that the U.S. and Russia will stay out of Ukraine, as long as it got rid of its nukes. Russia violated this agreement, over claims Ukraine would join NATO. Flynn believes this conflict will end so long as Ukraine agrees to stay out of NATO and remain neutral. Also, Putin wants Ukraine to renounce Crimea. Flynn says they should do this, on one condition.

Ukraine should agree to give up control of Crimea, but for a price. The country helped improve the region at great cost—so Russia should pay for everything Ukraine did to improve Crimea.

Finally, Flynn thinks Putin will have to agree that targeting civilians was wrong and agree to rebuild the damage he’s done to Ukraine.

If these measures are met, Flynn believes this war could end and peace could be restored to Europe. But it’s unclear if those responsible for this conflict are willing to agree to such terms. Putin himself, Flynn noted, was a bully who will try to get away with whatever he wanted. If he is going to agree to any terms, it’s because he realizes continuing in a war will not benefit him.

But that’s only going to happen if Russia suffers.

Key Takeaways:

  • Russian forces allegedly took a nuclear power plant in Ukraine.
  • Flynn recommended a solution to the war, which involved comprise and agreement.
  • This comes as Russia continues its invasion of Ukraine, seemingly unchecked.
